TAIPEI, Taiwan: The forthcoming 56th Tibetan Uprising Day on 10 March will be marked in not only Taipei and Kaoshiung, the two largest cities in Taiwan, but also in Hong Kong.
Tibet support groups in all the three cities will simultaneously organize events and live feeds from both Kaoshiung and Hong Kong will be beamed at the Freedom Square in Taipei.
The Taiwan Tibetan Welfare Association, along with a number of NGO’s, will also organize a major rally in Taipei on 8 March.
In a build up to the Uprising Day, Representative Dawa Tsering on Monday delivered a talk on the evolution of Tibetan democracy to a group of students and Tibet supporters at Kaoshiung.
In order to mobilize mass support and invite active public participation in the events marking the Uprising Day, a series of public talks on various issues related with Tibet will be organized in Kaoshiung this week.
