Home Secretary assesses land proferred by some farmers of Camp Number 9 in Doeguling settlement.
Mundgod: Home Secretary Palden Dhondup of the Central Tibetan Administration conducted a three-day assessment visit of the Doeguling settlement in Mundgod from 1-3 September 2023.
On the morning of the first day of the visit, the local dignitaries welcomed him at Gaden Shartse Guest House. Following that, the Home Secretary went on an assessment of the over 40 acre-land proffered by a group of farmers of Camp number 9 as per the announcement of due compensation by the Department of Home towards those with over 10 acre-land in one site who were willing to proffer land. The Settlement Officer, Chair of the Cooperative Society, Head of the Camp and Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) accompanied him.
On the second day, which coincided with Tibetan Democracy Day, the Home Secretary graced the official programme as the chief guest. Home Secretary expressed gratitude to Shri Prakash Poojari, Minority District Officer, Karwar, who had been invited to the programme as a guest for the support of the state government and the minority development office thus far and appealed for continued assistance.
On the third day, the Home Secretary visited the Cooperative Society Office and other organisations, after which he left for Bengaluru via train.
