
DHARAMSHALA: Honorable Home Kalon Gyari Dolma met senior Indian leaders during her visit to Delhi from 18-19 May.
Kalon Dolma Gyari met Mr. Bhaiyaji Joshi and Indresh Kumar, both senior leaders of the RSS, and several other leaders who have decade-long relations with the Central Tibetan Administration. During the meeting they reaffirmed its consistent position with regard to Tibet.
In a separate meeting with Mr. J.P Nadda, Senior General Secretary of BJP, he expressed his highest regard to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and assured all support and co-operation to the Tibetan people in exile in India.
On 20 May, Kalon Dolma Gyari left for Bangalore where she had a meeting with the Chief Representative Bangalore, President and General Secretary of FTCI and all the presidents of Tibetan cooperative societies of Tibetan settlements in Karnataka. The meeting was held to discuss the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday along with a Tibet festival at Bangalore this year with the kind support of Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of Karnataka State. She also met with the Mr. Arvind Jadhev, Additional secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of Karnataka State to discuss about the matter.
Kalon Dolma Gyari also met with Mr. Basavaraju, Secretary, Revenue Department, Govt. Of Karnataka State, to pursue the minutes of the meeting held last year under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Govt. of Karnataka, regarding the problems pertaining to Tibetan settlements in Karnataka. During all these meeting the Home Kalon was accompanied by Home Secretary Sonam T. Khorlhatsang.
Kalon Dolma Gyari attended the swearing-in ceremony of Mr. Narendra Modi as the 15th Prime Minister of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on 26 May.
