NEW DELHI: Home Kalon Gyari Dolma called on long-time friend of Tibet, Shri George Fernandes, former NDA Chairman at his residence yesterday. George Fernandes is under intensive care from Alzheimer’s disease. His Holiness the Dalai Lama had also paid several visits to him.

She conveyed on behalf of the people of Tibet gratitude and thanks to George Sahib for his support for the cause of Tibet and that the people of Tibet will always remember him and hold him close to their hearts. The immense respect and affection people of Tibet have for him is inexpressible.

Home kalon also paid a visit to the Home Ministry , and met with the joint Secretary Shri Dilip kumar and his staff. She thanked the ministry on behalf of CTA for the recently sanctioned Rupees 40 Crores to supplement the administrative expenses of the Tibetan settlements in India. It is an initial consideration for 5 years. She also updated the ministry on the Administration’s welfare activities in the settlements.

Secretary of Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai lama Tsewang Gyalpo Arya accompanied Kalon Gyari Dolma in both the occasions. Home Kalon will leave for Bangalore tomorrow to follow up certain important projects with the State Administration.
