
BOMDILA: In a public meeting with the Tibetan community along with Mr. Jambey Wangdi, Chairman, Department of Karmik & Adhyatmik (Chos-rig) Affairs (DoKA), Govt of Arunachal Pradesh at Bomdila, Home Kalon Dolma Gyari spoke about the topics raised during her earlier meetings in Itanagar requesting the state government in Itanagar for the implementation of the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy – 2014 formulated by the Government of India. She also raised the ‘Tibetan refugee go back’ issue raised by AAPSU, a local student organisation in Arunachal Pradesh.
Home Kalon emphasised the need to comply with the law of the land and most importantly, not to escalate the matter by posting about it on social media.
Kalon expressed her gratitude to the state government for hosting the Tibetan people and also highlighted His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s great contribution towards peace and tranquility in the world.
Mr. Jambey Wangdi expressed his solidarity with the Tibetan people on behalf of the Tibet support groups, Students & the people of Tawang. He assured Arunahcal Pradesh’s continued support and co-operation with the Tibetan people.
Later in the day, Home Kalon accompanied by the Settlement officer called on the local administration meeting ADC at the DC office and apprised them about the Tibetan Refugee Issue.
Home Kalon left Bomdila and arrived at Delhi yesterday. She will be be back in Dharamshala tomorrow.
