Home Kalon addressing Tibetans in Hunsur Rabgyaling.

MYSORE: Following his visit to Bylakuppe, Home Kalon arrived at Hunsur Rabgayling Tibetan settlement on 4th April and presided over the formal signing of the land lease agreement of Rabgayling settlement. Home Kalon was accompanied by Chief Representative of Tibetan Settlements in the South Mr Chompel Thubten during his visit.
On the morning of 5 April, Kalon presided over a meetingat the Rabgayling community hall meeting room called by the Chief Representative’s office, Bangalore. The meeting was attended by five south Tibetan settlement officers and president of the five cooperative societies and its secretaries.

In the meeting, the Chief Representative officer and the respective settlement officers apprised Kalon on the previous year’s agriculture drought relief and follow up on the distribution of compensation awarded by CTA.
Other points discussed include the implementation of Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy by the respective settlement officers and the benefits availed under this policy.
After lunch around 3.30 pm, Kalon visited the public drinking water treatment plant, funded by JAM-TSE Medical Association, Taiwan, through Home Department, CTA in the year 2016.
It was followed by an inspection visit to the unused houses and waste land in one of the camps for future rehabilitation of needy families. Later, Kalon visited the old peoples home and inspected the surrounding.
On 6th morning, Kalon addressed the Rabgayling Tibetan community and informed on his purpose of his visit.
In his address, Kalon spoke on 15th  Kashag’s five fifty strategy to strengthen the administration and sustenance of the settlement, importance of education, preservation of Tibetan culture and identity, importance of good health, CTA’s Budget, women empowerment policy and Tibetan women’s day, CTA’s Tibet advocacy campaign year 2017 and reforms in the Tibetan electoral rules.
After lunch, Kalon visited a farmer’s ginger field and interacted with the farmers on their concerns such as irrigation, crop loan, previous year drought compensation relief and assured support from the Department whatever possible.
On 7th morning, Kalon visited Ugyen Choeling monastery, Zongkar Choedey monastery and Gyurme monastery and offered prayers.
From Hunsur, Kalon reached Mysore around 1 pm and addressed Tibetan college students in Mysore. He urged the students to study hard and pursue higher education, focus on specialiazation. He asked the students to take care of their health for better result during their course of education.
Kalon left mysore and reached Kollegal around 6 pm.
