Home Dept announces Youth Empowerment Training Courses

Dharamshala: The Department of
Home of the Central Tibetan Administration has announced skill training
courses to be offered to unemployed Tibetan youths, which begins in
October.
The training will be held at the Institute for Small Trade Learning in Neelamangalam in Bangalore, South India.
The skill training opportunity for employed youth is an
initiative of ‘Youth Empowerment Support’, instituted under the home
department.
A wide range of job-oriented courses, including diploma program
in hair styling, medical transcription, certificate in retail execution
(salesman), carpentry, tailoring, combined fast track in beauty therapy
and hairdressing will be offered.
Applicants can also opt for technical trainings, such as
diploma courses in automobile engineering, electrical engineering,
hardware and network engineering, and certificates in photography and
multimedia.
The durations of courses range from one to eighteen months.
After completing the training, those who wish to set up their own micro-enterprise will be provided with start-up soft loan.
Those interested in doing the training should enroll with their
respected Tibetan settlement offices or at the Department of Home,
before 10 September 2008.
