His Holiness to Visit France
Dharamsala, 5 May: His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be in France from 7 May to 9 May. His Holiness will visit NIORT in western France on his way back from Toronto. His Holiness has been invited by Mr. Alain Mathieu, President of the Urban Community of NIORT and Mr. Alain Baudin, Mayor of NIORT. His Holiness will grace the 8th day of 76th annual festival-cum-exhibition organised by the city from May 1-9. The theme of this year’s festival is Tibet.
His Holiness will open the 8th day of the festival, visit the core exhibition on Tibet, attend a reception by the Mayor in the City Hall and in the afternoon deliver a public lecture on “Generating a Good Heart”.
The 9-day event covers all aspects of Tibetan culture and way of life ranging from religious activities to food, dance, film shows to exposing current Tibet through photo exhibition.
His Holiness will visit France directly from Toronto, Canada, after the Kalachakra initiation there and will leave for India on 9 May. This will be His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 20th visit to France.
