His Holiness the Dalai Lama will inaugurate the Happy Thoughts World
Peace Festival to be organised by Tej Gyan Foundation at the
Agriculture College ground in Pune City on 10 October.The event
will be the culmination of the foundation’s 2010 movement of “World
Peace…Piece by Piece” which focuses on how world peace can be achieved
one piece at a time or step by step.The foundation will hold world peace events across fifty cities of India as part of the Happy Thoughts World Peace Festival. The
flagship event in Pune will be inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai
Lama at 10.10 am and is expected to attract an audience of over one
lakh people. His Holiness will deliver an inaugural address on
Peace among Nations. Other keynote speakers are Dr Kiran Bedi on Peace
and Women; Padmashree D.R.Kaarthikeyan on Platform for World Peace;
Padmashree Dr. Vijay Bhatkar on Peace and Science; Padmashree
S.B.Mujumdar on Peace and Education and Ms.Tami Simon on Peace and
Religion.The programme will be telecast on television channels to impact the consciousness of at least ten lakh people more.The
festival revolves around ten solutions for inner peace and world peace
that Tej Gyan Foundation is focusing, the organisers said.
