His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Lead Prayers for Flood Victims at Leh[Thursday, 9 September 2010, 11:25 a.m.]
Dharamshala: His
Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit Leh to offer prayers for the victims
of the devastating floods that struck the region on 5 August. His
Holiness will offer special prayers at the Main Jokhang Cathedral in
Leh, followed by a mass prayer session on 13 September, Mr Chhime R.
Chhoekyapa, Secretary to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, said.His
Holiness will visit Kargil to address a public gathering on 14
September. On the same day he will visit Mulbekh to address the public.
On 15 September, His Holiness will confer the Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wang) at Bodhkharboo in Kargil.
