Sikyong accompanied the visiting Parliamentary delegation to His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s residence.
Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama today met with the visiting parliamentary delegation of European Parliament, Lithuania and Mexico at His Holiness’ residence in Dharamshala. The delegates were accompanied by Sikyong Penpa Tsering and Kalon Norzin Dolma of Department of Information and International Relations.
In his message to the visiting delegation, His Holiness stressed on the oneness of humanity.
His Holiness added, “We really need the concept of oneness of all 7-8 billion human beings, we are the same”.
He dissuaded egocentric behaviour that gives impetus to violence and hatred.
“It is totally wrong to think my nation, your nation, my religion, their religion which cause fighting and killing. We must as same human beings, remain on this planet as brothers and sisters”, said His Holiness.
The visiting delegation of European Parliament comprised of MEP Mikuláš Peksa, MEP Salima Yenbo, MEP Hannes Heide, and MEP Aušra Maldeikienė who are accompanied by Parliamentary Assistants Samuel V Samuel Vančo, Tomas Adamec, Martina Tesseri, Eduard Aleix Sarri Camargo and Representative Rigzin C. Genkhang.
The delegation comprising Lithuanian parliamentarian Arunas Valinskas who was accompanied by Representative Sonam Frasi, Office of Tibet London and Mexican parliamentarians consisting of MP Lidia Garcia Anaya, MP Dulce Maria Corina, MP Ines Parra Juarez, MP Salvador Caro Cabrera, MP Maria Elena Limon Garcia, MP Ma Teresa Rosaura Ochoa Mejia, MP Julieta Mejia Ibanez, MP Lidia Perez Barcenas, MP Jose Miguel De La Cruz Lima. The visiting delegation was accompanied by Parliamentary Assistants Raul Jose Mejia Gonzalez, Adriana del Carmen Zuniga Guerrero, Karla Sofia Torres Pesquera, Renata Kroeff (Interpreter), and Denise Mara Silva Robson. Their visit to Dharamshala is organised by the Office of Tibet Latin America headed by Representative Jigme Tsering.
Damon Wilson, President of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), accompanied by Pema Tulotsang and Mona Dave comprised the NED delegation.
