Dharamshala: His
Holiness the Dalai Lama called for more women to fill senior positions
during an interview with the Sunday edition of German daily Bild, DPA news agency reported Monday.’Women
have more compassion and can recognise the pain of other people more
quickly and better than men,’ His Holiness the Dalai Lama said.’For
this reason, women should be involved far more often in important
decisions and should hold important posts. As chancellor for example,’
His Holiness said, adding, ‘In Germany that is exemplary.’His Holiness the Dalai Lama showed little sympathy for an obsession with outward appearances.’Whoever
is at one with themselves, doesn’t need to undergo operations to their
external features,’ His Holiness said, adding, ‘Whoever is beautiful on
the inside, exudes that and will automatically be beautiful for others.’Related:
