
NARITA, Japan: His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived at Narita Airport, Japan from New Delhi this afternoon on 8 May. His Holiness was welcomed at Narita airport by Mr Lungtok, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and staff from the Office of Tibet (OOT) based in Tokyo.
About a hundred local Tibetans dressed in traditional Tibetan attires accompanied by Japanese-Tibet supporters have also come to the airport to greet His Holiness the Dalai Lama on his arrival. From the airport, His Holiness the Dalai Lama left for Hotel Hilton, Narita.
His Holiness will leave for Osaka, Japan’s second largest city, tomorrow. His Holiness will give teachings on Shantideva’s A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (Tib: Chodjug) to about 2700 devotees at the Osaka International Convention Center from 10 – 13 May.
The teachings are organised by the Liaison Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama/Tibet House, Japan, in collaboration with Japanese-Tibet supporters at the request of devotees from Mainland China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and Japan.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will return to India on Saturday, 14 May.
