His Holiness Returns to Dharamshala

Dharamshala: After concluding his 15-day visit to Belguim and Kalpa region, Himachal Pradesh, His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamshala yesterday morning.
During his 9-day stay in Belgium, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave teachings, public talk, and participated in an Inter-Faith meeting.
The Inter-Faith meeting was attended by different religious heads and chaired by European Union (EU) Presidency Austrian Chancellor Mr. Schussel, and EU Commissione President Mr. Jose Manuel Barroso.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama also met with Belgium Prime Minister Mr. Guy Verhofstadt and Belgium Senate President Ms. Anne Marie Lizin.
On 31 May, His Holiness was invited by the European Foreign Affair Committee and met with over 100 European parliament members. Besides His Holiness also met with over 11 members of the Tibet Support Groups and the Tibetan community in Belgium.
His Holiness presented the International Campaign for Tibet’s Light of Truth Award to Archbishop Desmod Tutu and the Herge Foundation, publisher of Tin Tin.
On 7 June His Holiness departed Belgium and arrived in Sangla, Himachal Pradesh, where he consecrated Kunga Choeling Monastery and gave 3-day teachings at the Kalpa region.
Yesterday morning, His Holiness departed Kalpa after successfully concluding his teachings and reached Dharamshala the same day.
As requested by a Taiwan group, His Holiness will give teachings on Chodjug (A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life) at the Main Temple, Dharamshala, from 24 June to 1 July.
