His Holiness returns to a rousing welcome

Dharamshala: Hundreds of Tibetans filed along the way to the main cathedral, as His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned here this morning, after visiting places literally across the length and breadth of India in over a month-long tour.
Beginning 16 December 2006, His Holiness visited Varanasi in the Central Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Bangalore, Hunsur and Bylakuppe in the southern Karnataka, in addition to Kolkatta and Agartala, in the eastern states of West Bengal and Tripura respectively.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will now take rest for over a week.
At the end of this month, His Holiness is expected in Mumbai, where he will give a public talk on Peace Through Inner Peace at the MMRDA Ground, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East).
The event slated on 31 January is organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition.
