His Holiness’ Representative attends Tibet Support Group’s Meeting in Sydney[Monday, 1 November 2010, 4:43 p.m.]
Dharamshala: His
Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Representative for Oceanic and South East
Asia visited Sydney to address a two-day meeting of the board of
directors of Tibet Support Group from 23 – 24 October, the office of
Tibet based in Canberra reported.Representative Sonam Norbu
Dagpo gave a briefing on the current situation inside Tibet, dialogue
process between His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s envoys and the PRC
leadership and policies of the central Tibetan administration among
others. Mr Dagpo also appealed for continuous support and efforts from
the Tibet Support Group towards the issue of Tibet.During the
first day of the meeting, the office of Tibet in Australia released a
book on the evolution of Tibet Support Groups based in Australia and
New Zealand. It was launched by president of the Tibet Support Group.
The book is part of the office of Tibet’s initiatives to mark the 50th
anniversary of Tibetans in exile.
