His Holiness Remembers Dr. Peter Lindegger
Dharamsala, 16 December: Dr. Peter Lindegger, passed away on Saturday, 11 December of a heart attack at his home in Winterthur, according to information received from the Office of Tibet in Geneva. He was 72 years of age.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will remember Dr. Peter Lindegger in his prayers.
He was one of the key persons responsible for establishing the Tibetan Institute, Rikon (Rikon Gonpa). In fact, he was its first curator and had lived at the monastery for over 20 years-looking after its affairs. Even after retirement, he had continued to be a Board member of the Rikon Gonpa.
He was also a Tibetan expert and also spoke some Tibetan. He had written some books on Tibet. He had also adopted some Tibetans who are doing well in their respective professions.
The funeral services will be held Monday, 20th December in Winterthur at 11:00 hours.
