His Holiness leaves Dharamshala for a visit to the United States and United Kingdom

Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Dharamshala for New Delhi via Jammu today.
In New Delhi, His Holiness will participate at the International conference on Mahayana Philosophy and Art to be held at the India
International Centre on 2 November.This conference is organised by Tibet House based in New Delhi.
In the afternoon, at 2.30, His Holiness will pay a visit to the Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (IILM) and will deliver
the first IILM lecture on Achieving Peace in Our Times: Relevance of Non-violence.
At the Institute, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be welcomed by ambassador K.V. Rajan. Shri I.K. Gujural, the former Prime Minister of India, will make the closing remarks.
On the same day, His Holiness will leave New Delhi for Tokyo from where he will fly to San Francisco.
On 7 November, His Holiness will fly to Washington D.C. and according to a press release of the Washington-based International Campaign for Tibet, His Holiness is expected to meet US President George Bush and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and Congressional leaders during his 10-day visit to the capital.
On 17 November His Holiness will fly to the United Kingdom where he will address the 4^th World Parliamentarians’ Convention on Tibet in Edinburgh in Scotland.
His Holiness will return to New Delhi on 24 November and on the same day will fly to Dharamshala.
