Dharamshala (TibetNet): His Holiness the Dalai Lama offered his condolence to the victims of the Varanasi blasts that took place yesterday evening at a railway station and a temple in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
In his condolence message to the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, His Holiness said, ” I am deeply saddened and disturbed to learn that once again there have been senseless acts of violence committed upon innocent people in India. It is most unfortunate that three bombs exploded in
Varanasi resulting in the deaths of several people and many more being injured. This cruel and random violence endangers the peace and stability of this country.”
Appreciating Dr. Manmohan Singh’s call of calm among the people against such acts of terrorism and violence, His Holiness said, ” In times of tragedy and catastrophe it is so important that our emotions do not go out of control.”
