Dharamshala: Himachal Pradesh Forest Minister Honourable Rakesh Pathania and MLA Shri Vishal Nehria called on Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay at the latter’s residence earlier today.

During the meeting, Sikyong congratulated Hon. Minister on being appointed as Minister in charge of Dharamshala. As the duo briefly discussed smart city programs and projects for the all-round development of Dharamshala, including the aerial ropeway connecting Dharamshala to Mcleodganj which is expected to complete in two months, Sikyong suggested that the city airport infrastructure could be further improved as the tourist footfall in Dharamshala continues to rise.

Sikyong also requested the Hon. Minister’s assistance in setting up a COVID vaccination centre at Delek hospital for greater safety of local Tibetans and Indians residing in and around Dharamshala.

Finally, on behalf of the CTA and Tibetans around the world, Sikyong conveyed gratitude to the Central government and the Himachal Pradesh government for their unwavering support for the Tibetan people and the just cause of Tibet.
