DHARAMSHALA: Dr Tsering Wangchuk, Kalon for the Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration will leave Dharamshala today on an official visit to Delhi, Jaipur and Jodhpur. He will be accompanied by two staff from the Department of Health.

Health Kalon Dr Tsering Wangchuk will meet Mr. David Dror, Director of Micro Insurance Academy (MIA) in New Delhi on 15 January to discuss the Tibetan Medicare System (TMS).

From 16 to 18 January, Health Kalon will launch an awareness and enrollment campaign on TMS for the Tibetan sweater sellers in Jodhpur and Jaipur. He will urge them to participate in the Tibetan Medicare System so that they can protect their families from unexpected health emergencies

He will also raise awareness about the prevention of HIV/AIDS during his visit.

On his way back from Jodhpur, Health Kalon plans to meet the Ambassador of Germany in New Delhi on 20 January. The Government of Germany is supporting the Tibetan Medicare System through Malteser International and MIA for the last two years.
