Paonta Sahib: Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk of the Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration inaugurated the new football ground of Cholsum Tibetan settlement in Paonta, Himachal Pradesh on 22 February 2018. The football ground was built with the funds provided by the health department of Central Tibetan Administration along with Tibet Fund, ETRE-Tibet and other financial donors.

Following the inauguration,the 1st Cholsum Gold Cup was organised by Paonta Cholsum Sports Club on 28 March. The tournament started with a March pass in the presence of Chief Guest Settlement Officer Mr. Gelek Jamyang and other dignitaries.

Seven teams participated in the tournament namely Paonta Cholsum FC A, Dhondupling Legend, Clement town, Raipur FC, Paonta Cholsum FC B, Kham khatok FC Sataun, Sakya Puruwala FC and Sambhota School Paonta.
