Bangalore: Health Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk discussed health preventive and treatment in terms of open gyms, W.A.S.H. (water and sanitation hygiene), playgrounds, as well as the Tibetan Medicare System (TMS) to the Tibetans of Hunsur community on 11 October. Furthermore, he elaborated on the four resolutions of the recently concluded Third General Special Meeting.
The Health Kalon continued his Hunsur trip by visiting the local the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute (Mentseekhang) branch, public health centers under the Department of Health, and the local Sambhota school. In addition, he went to see the construction of elephant trenches of the settlement.
The following day, Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk visited the Higher Power Foundation in Bangalore and also met the patients under the substance abuse de-addiction center.
The Higher Power Foundation is one of the highest-rated rehabilitation centers in Bangalore and provides a comfortable residential facility for the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. They aid people in changing their lives and live a sober life by giving quality treatment in a secure, calm and healthy environment.
Thereafter Kalon met with Tibetan students and addressed them.
