Eminence the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje celebrated his
26th birthday by blessing all the devotees who came to attend his
birthday at Gyuto Tantric Monastery in Sidhbari near Dharamsala on
Saturday, 26 June. The birthday celebration began with the
Mendel and long-life prayer offering to Gyalwa Karmapa by the devotees.
There were thousands of devotees attending the birthday,  including
foreign devotees from Taiwan, China and other countries and local
Tibetans from and around Dharamsala and a large number of monks.Other
than the lamas and the staff of the monastery, members of the Tibetan
Parliament-in-Exile, Dharamsala Tibetan Welfare Officer, and officials
of Central Tibetan Administration, conveyed greetings to His Eminence
the Gyalwa Karmapa.There were programs of Tibetan cultural folk dance presentation by the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts.More pictures:
