Dharamshala: The 9th and 17th Governing Body meeting of the Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society (STSS) registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860/R.No.S-E/403 and Societies Registration Act, 2006/R.No.470/2006, respectively, were held on 20 June 2024 at Mussoorie-based Sambhota Tibetan School’s conference room.
The 9th Meeting of the Governing Body of Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society (Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860/R.No.S-E/403) was graced by the presence of all its seven members. The meeting was chaired by its Chairperson, Kalon (Minister) Tharlam Dolma Changra of the Department of Education (DoE), in attendance of the Vice Chairperson Jigmey Namgyal (Secretary, DoE, CTA Dharamshala), S.N Gulia – Member (Jt. Commissioner, Fin. KVS HQ, Delhi), Ven Geshe Lhakdor- Member (Director, LTWA, Dharamshala), Sonam Sichoe – Member (President, TCV Head Office, Dharamshala), Tenzin Choklang – Member (General Secretary, Tibetan Homes Foundations (THF), Mussoorie -Uttrakhand) and Tsering Dhondup – Member Secretary (Director, STSS, Dharamshala).
Many crucial agendas pertaining to administration and academics were discussed and approved by the Governing Body members for the welfare of STSS.
Likewise, the 17th Meeting of the Governing Body of Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society (Registered under Societies Registration Act, 2006/R.No.470/2006) was also graced by the presence of all the seven members.
Education Kalon Tharlam Dolma Changra chaired the meeting that was attended by Vice Chairperson Jigmey Namgyal (Secretary, DoE, CTA Dharamshala), Ven Geshe Lhakdor- Member (Director, LTWA, Dharamshala), Sonam Sichoe – Member (President, TCV Head Office, Dharamshala), Tenzin Choklang (General Secretary, Tibetan Homes Foundations (THF), Mussoorie- Uttrakhand), Passang Tsering – Member (Principal, CIHTS, Sarah Dharamshala) and Tsering Dhondup – Member Secretary (Director, STSS, Dharamshala).
Agendas proposed before the Governing Body members were thoroughly discussed, and valuable guidance from the honourable Governing Body members was sought for the efficient functioning of STSS.
Both the meetings of the 9th Governing Body and the 17th Governing Body were concluded productively as scheduled by the Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society.
