“We are committed to extend our help to Tibet in resolving the Tibet issue through the Middle Way Approach, and we will work towards promoting awareness about Tibet not only in France but also in Europe”, said Mr. Lionnel Luca, the President of Tibet group in the French National Assembly, who is heading the delegation to Dharamsala.
Mr. Luca was speaking to the press yesterday. He said that his group had a very good insight into the exile Tibetan community during their five-day visit here. He said that the members of his delegation were very impressed by the systematic functioning of the exile Tibetan administration with all the requirements and characteristics of a democracy.
He assured the Tibetan people that China would have to succumb to the non-violent efforts for negotiation by the exile administration led by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Thanking His Holiness for pioneering peace in the world Mr. Luca said that they revere His Holiness as an epitome of peace and non-violence and that the struggle of the Tibetan people will one day bear fruit under His Holiness’ leadership. “It was not a surprise that His Holiness won the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize”.
Mr. Luca also said that his group will try to work towards convincing China of the sincerity of the Tibetan administration to negotiate with China.
The delegation left for France early today.
