Federation of Cooperatives Elects First Board of Directors
Dharamshala 10 June 2005: The Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India Ltd., a registered independent body composed of 15 Tibetan cooperatives as of now, elected its first board of directors in a 5-day meeting that concluded on 8 June.

The meeting was coordinated by the Department of Home of the Central Tibetan Administration.
The heads of 15 Tibetan cooperatives from across India elected Sonam Paljor as the Chairman and Pema Delek as the Vice-Chairman of the Federation.
Others elected as members of the board of directors are Lobsang Norbu, Palden Dhondup, Tsering Youdon, Tamding, Lekyi Dorjee, Tsering Dorjee and Dorjee Gyalsten.
The cooperatatives are located in Bylakuppe, Hunsur, Kollegal, Mundgod, Orrisa, Mainpat, Bhandara, Tenzingang, Tezu, Miao, Sonada, Ravangla, Ladakh and Dharamshala.
