
Budapest, Hungary: On 4 November, 2025, An exclusive screening of the new documentary “Wisdom of Happiness” was held at the Müvész Cinema in Budapest, one of the city’s most well-known and oldest theatre. The event, hosted by Claudio Sümeghy and Molnár Kata Orsolya, filled the 200-seat hall to capacity. The film highlights the timeless message of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on peace, compassion, and universal responsibility.
Before the screening, Thinlay Chukki, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama from the Office of Tibet, Geneva, delivered opening remarks. She expressed gratitude to the organisers and audience, emphasising that the film’s message is deeply meaningful and relevant for today’s complex world.
Thinlay Chukki was accompanied by Phuntsok Topgyal, UN Advocacy Officer, Namgyal, President of the Tibetan Association in Hungary, and Tibor Hendrey, Founder and President of the Tibet Support Group, Hungary.
The Budapest screening formed part of the global Year of Compassion initiative, aiming to spread His Holiness’ message and inspire individuals to nurture peace, kindness, and responsibility within themselves. Due to the positive response, the Office of Tibet, Brussels is considering hosting further exclusive screenings in the coming months.
During her visit, Thinlay also gave an interview to a local radio station and held several interviews. Following the successful event, Thinlay Chukki and Phuntsok Topgyal departed for Slovakia for their next official engagements.
