Brussels: The Tibet Interest Group (TIG) in the European Parliament will hold a webinar on March 4 to discuss the latest developments on Tibet from European Perspective. Mr Mikuláš Peksa, MEP and President of TIG will chair the discussion.
Representative Tashi Phuntsok will brief the meeting on the latest human rights situations in Tibet, including the labour camp. He will also update on the U.S. Tibetan Policy and Support Act (TPSA) and will request serious actions for Tibet by the TIG and the European Parliament.
The main section of the webinar will be the presentations on the freedom of religion in Tibet and China by Miriam Lexmann, MEP; how can EU Member States help Tibet by Samuel Cogolati, MP, Belgian Federal Parliament; and on the EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI) by Francisco Guerreiro, MEP.
The presentations will be followed by discussion and Q&A and Mr Peksa will conclude the meeting with his final remarks.
