Dharamshala: At the 46th Regular Session of the UN Human Rights Council underway in Geneva, the EU High Representative and Vice-President of the European Commission issued a statement addressing, among others, the ongoing human rights violations of Tibetans, Uyghurs, Mongolians and Hong Kongers on behalf of the European Union on 23 February 2021.
EU Statement mentions Tibet at the 46th UNHRC
In his statement, the EU High Representative Josep Borrell called on China to comply with its obligations under national and international law to respect and to protect human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities in Xinjiang, in Tibet and Inner Mongolia.
