They first visited Radio Free Asia and accepted an interview regarding First Education Summit of Tibetan Language and Culture Schools and other topics on the Department of Education.
Kalon Dr. Pema Yangchen and Secretary Karma Singey met with International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) staff and briefed about the summit and day to day work of the Department of Education. ICT Vice President Bhuchung la also introduced the role of ICT in Tibetan advocacy work.
Kalon also visited Voice Of America(VOA) and accepted an interview regarding responsibility carried by the Department of Education. A small meeting with VOA staff was taken place to exchange ideas to gather suggestions.
Kalon Dr. Pema Yangchen and Secretary Karma Singey Visited Rajya Mahayana Buddhist Center and met with Shingsa Rinpoche. They discussed a range of topics.
CATA welcomed kalon Dr. Pema Yangchen and Secretary Karma Singey to the community center and a public talk was given on the status of education in exile. Many people came to support the work by the Department of Education and the audience was very engaged in asking questions.
