DHARAMSHALA: The Department of Education organised a three-day workshop at TCV Gopalpur for Tibetan librarians and library in-charges from 6 – 8 April. It was attended by 26 participants from schools under the administrations of TCV, STSS, THF and SLF.

The main focus of the workshop is on reading-skill related activities that could be carried out in library. The Department of Education has invited two renowned experts in the field of library science Mrs Usha Mukunda & Mrs Sujata Noronha as resource persons. The workshop is being conducted under the Early Grade Reading Project of DoE. This projects is funded by United States Agency for International Development through the Tibet fund.

The coordinators also shared their views on how to improve the collection of books in their Schools’ libraries and gave feedback session regarding the exposure visit at Goa and Bangalore.
