Dharamshala: The Department of Education (DOE), CTA is happy to announce ‘Peer Mentoring Program’. The purpose of this program is to build a support system for transitioning students by connecting or pairing them with suitable mentors. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for transitioning students to connect or pair with a mentor.
With an average of 1200 Tibetan students completing high school each year, we have more than 3000 Tibetan students who are pursuing higher education in India and more than 40 students abroad.
As known, for many decades, DOE has worked and continues to work towards supporting Tibetan students pursuing higher education such as Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s, and Doctorate (PhD) in India through scholarships. DOE also continues to seek scholarships for our Tibetan students to study abroad and overseas scholarship program in United World College, Chiba Institute of Technology, Tibetan Scholarship Program, etc.
Through this mentoring program, DOE will serve as a bridge between mentors and mentees and connect by pairing them with potential mentors such as former or current college students, graduates and scholarship recipients with whom can and consult and seek counsel.
If you are a student who is planning for your further education and would like to participate in this mentoring program, please write to us at [email protected].
