
Paris, 8 December : Continuing her visit in France, Kalon for the Department of Information and International Relations Ms. Dicki Chhoyang today gave an interview to the France 24 Television in Paris. France 24 TV is a French Television News Channel that broadcasts its news programmes in three different languages around the world. Kalon Dicki Chhoyang was interviewed by journalist Marc Perelman for both the French and English programme called “the Interview”.
In the evening Kalon Dicki Chhoyang met with members of Chinese community in a round table conference where she shared her thoughts on expanding the Chinese Outreach programme and the Middle Way Approach of the Central Tibetan Administration.
Earlier on Saturday, 6 December Kalon was received at the Toulouse Train station by the local Tibetans, members of local Tibet Support Groups and Mr. Jean Louis Halioua and Mr. Guy Helle, the Mayors of Salle sur Garonne and Carbonne respectively. Both the municipalities have participated in the “adoption” campaign of Tibetan villages and towns.

During dinner hosted by the local Tibet support groups and members of France Tibet in the evening, Hon’ble Philippe Foliot, a member of the French lower house – Assemblee National – and Vice President of the Tibet Group in the house joined to welcome Kalon Dicki Chhoyang.
Over hundred Tibet supporters and local Tibetans eagerly waited late in the evening despite inclement weather to listen to the Kalon, who spoke on the Middle Way Approach of the Central Tibetan Administration and urged supporters to study the fundamentals and principles of the Memorandum of Genuine Autonomy for Tibetan People so as to base their support on strong awareness of the aspirations of the Tibetan people and to dispel the doubts created by the misinformation and propaganda of the People’s Republic of China.
Kalon responded to the number of questions posed to her after the talk. She was later interviewed by “Le Petit Journal”, a satirical political French TV news programme on the Canal Plus 4 Channel.
The following day on December 7, Kalon Dicki Chhoyang visited the two important centres of Tibetan Buddhism in France, Institut Vajra Yogini and Nalanda Institute. During her stay in Vajra Yogini, she met with some members of local Tibet supporters and discussed on the ways and means to further the awareness about Tibetan culture and history among the youngsters.
She also interacted with the local Tibetans, including the religious heads of the centres, and urged them to work towards preservation of Tibetan cultural values by inculcating among the youngsters the importance of Tibetan language, unique cultural heritage and distinct identity, before leaving for Paris.
Kalon Dicki Chhoyang is scheduled to travel to Grenoble tomorrow, where she will meet the Mayor of the City and interact with the local Tibet support groups as well as give a public talk in the evening.
