
Kalon Norzin Dolma and Secretary Karma Choeying received at the airport by Representative Bawa Kelsang Gyaltsen led staff of Office of Tibet in Taiwan and Tashi Tsering, President of the Tibetan Association.
Taiwan: The delegation of CTA’s Department of Information and International Relations headed by Kalon Norzin Dolma arrived in Taiwan on Monday. Kalon was accompanied by DIIR Secretary Karma Choeying on this week-long visit.
From March 27-2 April, the delegation will engage in a series of meetings with various local and government officials including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President of Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan, the Taiwanese Parliamentary Group for Tibet, and representatives of the National Human Rights Commission in Taiwan. They will also meet with representatives of Tibet support groups and civil society groups.
On the evening of their arrival, Tibet Support Groups in Taiwan hosted a dinner gathering which was attended by prominent political figures who are staunch Tibet supporters like Yiong Con-Ziin (Minister of Hakka Affairs Council), Yeh Chu-Lan (Secretary-General to President), Liutien, Chiu-Chin (members of the control yuan Taiwan, ROC) and former MP་ Jieh Ru Chen.
The Office of Tibet in Taiwan led by Representative Bawa Kelsang Gyaltsen will accompany DIIR Kalon and Secretary throughout their engagements in Taiwan.
