DHARAMSHALA: The Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), Central Tibetan Administration hosted its third annual dinner reception for journalists at Hotel Dauladhar yesterday.

Thirty-nine Indian and Tibetan journalists from leading news agencies including local bureau chiefs of Amar Ujala, Times of India, ANI, TVnews100, Divya Himachal, Hindustan Times and Reuters attended the reception.

The two secretaries of the department – Mr Sonam Norbu Dagpo and Mr Tashi Phuntsok – also graced the event.

The dinner reception for local media is an annual event organised by the Department to affirm closer interaction between Tibetan and Indian journalists, and particularly with the Central Tibetan Administration. It is also a recognition of media’s immense contribution towards creating awareness in society.
