
DHARAMSHALA: The Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, yesterday organised a dinner reception for local Indian and Tibetan media in Dharamshala. Kalon Dicki Chhoyang and the two secretaries of the department attended the reception which was held at Chonor House, Mcleod Ganj.
The chief guest at the reception was Shri. Ajay Prashar, Deputy Director of Public Relations Department, Himachal Pradesh.
Over 40 Indian and Tibetan journalists from leading press and media organisations including bureau chief from Hindi dailies like Amar Ujala, Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Himachal, and English dailies like Times of India and Hindustan Times, attended the event.
“The dinner reception for local media is an annual event organised by the Department to affirm closer interaction between Tibetan and Indian journalists, and particularly with the Central Tibetan Administration. It is also a recognition of media’s immense contribution towards creating awareness in society,” Mr. Tsering Wangchuk, Press Officer, DIIR, said.
