
DHARAMSHALA: The Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration in coordination with the Tibetan Settlement Office, Chauntra, organised a four-day workshop on Middle Way Approach at TCV Suja school, in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
Staff from the DIIR facilitated the workshop which is specifically designed to engage people at grass roots level in understanding the Middle Way Approach.
Mr Sonam Norbu Dagpo, Secretary for International Relations, DIIR, spoke to the participants on the nature, evolution and achievements of the Middle Way Approach. He spoke on the Central Tibetan Administration’s firm commitment to continue dialogue with the Chinese leadership to seek genuine autonomy for the Tibetan people. He also answered questions from the participants.
The workshop was held from 6-9 October as part of the Central Tibetan Administration’s international Middle Way Approach awareness campaign launched in June this year.
Settlement officers and staff from Bir Tibetan society (BTS), Chauntra settlement, and staff and students from all the Tibetan schools in the area participated in the workshop.
