Dharamshala: Under the initiative of Clean Upper Dharamshala Programme desk’s coordinator Tsering Yangzom, the Tibetan Settlement Office of Dharamshala organised an educational and environmental tour for students of the Tibetan Children’s Village School.
The day began with a morning walk from the school to the Tibetan Settlement Office Community Hall, where the students were warmly welcomed by the TSO staff, led by the Settlement Officer. Tea and snacks were served to all students and home mothers.
Following the morning session, the students enjoyed interactive games with the staff, which fostered learning and bonding. This was followed by lunch for all participants.
In the afternoon, the students visited the His Holiness the Dalai Lama Archives and Museum, where they gained deeper insight into His Holiness’ lifelong achievements, teachings, and contributions to humanity.
After the visit, all students safely returned to their school. As a gesture of encouragement and joy, the TSO office distributed pocket money to the students.
This programme was organised as part of the celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday and in observance of the Year of Compassion, promoting values of environmental awareness, education, and kindness among young students.
