Dharamshala: The Tibetan Settlement Office in Dharamshala organised a compassionate initiative by providing high-nutrient food to the cows near the Sarah cowshed in Gaggal, which is under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation Dharamshala. This activity was carried out as part of the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, observed as the Year of Compassion.
The auspicious day began on the 15th day of the Tibetan lunar calendar (Purnima), which is considered a sacred day and is widely observed by the Buddhist community.
On this occasion, the Tibetan Settlement Office transported high-nutrient cow grass from the nearby state of Punjab. Staff members from the Tibetan Settlement Office visited the cowshed and distributed the grass to more than 103 cows that are currently kept and cared for there by the Municipal Corporation Dharamshala.
This compassionate act was also observed as a good deed, helping and supporting voiceless animals while promoting kindness and care for all living beings.
