Devotees Packed the Main Temple to Attend Teachings

Dharamshala (TibetNet): There are around 10,170 devotees attending His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s teachings on Shantideva’s compendium of precepts and a guide to the Boddhisattva’s way of life at the Main Temple in Dharamshala.
The teachings started yesterday and it will go on till 29 March. According to the Security Department of the Central Tibetan Administration, there are over 2300 foreigners from 20 different countries, 170 Chinese from Taiwan and Singapore and around 100 Mongolian followers.
With over 4300 monks and nuns, and 2500 lay people, the Main Temple was squashed like a sardine can. There are also over 800 Tibetans from Tibet attending the two-week teachings.
