
Department of Religion and Culture, Announces for intake of participants from Himalayan region in Live art contest.
Dharamshala: In honour of the 90th Birthday celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) is pleased to announce a Live Art Contest highlighting the legacies of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. This special event will celebrate His Holiness’s enduring contributions to world peace, the oneness of human beings, environmental protection, and for the people of Tibet. The event also serves as a platform to promote Tibetan art and showcase individual artists’ talent to a wider audience.
We welcome all eligible Tibetan artists to participate in this special event. Out of 30 Tibetan applicants, the Department will shortlist 8 applicants from the Himalayan region based on the arts initially submitted with their applications. The selected applicants will be invited to Dharamsala for the Live Art Contest. Interested artists must submit their applications along with the required documents to the email address below on or before 12 June 2025.

Prizes:
- 1st Prize: ₹40,000/-
- 2nd Prize: ₹30,000/-
- 3rd Prize: ₹20,000/-
- Consolation prize for the rest of the participants: ₹5,000/-
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must submit one original artwork (drawing or painting) created by the applicant.
