Dharamshala: Himachal Government today announced a relaxation in the curfew imposed in the wake of the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur of H.P declared the curfew relaxation from 6 am to 8 pm given that all inter-state travel to be regulated through permits issued by the district magistrate as a precautionary mechanism. Likewise, the entry of people will be permitted only to those with the passes. It was also announced that individuals exiting the state can do so without permission but if they wish to return within 48 hrs, they can obtain a permit to return.
Those entering the state are directed to check-in at the institutional quarantine facilitated by the state government to ensure timely screening for COVID and furthermore treatment of those found positive.
According to the latest guidelines issued by the district Kangra, movement within the district shall not require passes, as well as, passes are not required for the movement from or to other districts in H.P.
Those exiting the state one time are also not required to obtain passes. However, for the round trip from Distt. Kangra across the inter-state border, passes are required for coming back. Those entering the district from other states of India are required to show passes and those commuting through inter-state barriers who work in the offices/establishments within the district Kangra, passes are required from DM/concerned SDM.
Movement for tourism including a visit to the religious sites into the district across the inter-state border is completely prohibited.
Meanwhile, schools, colleges, and educational institutes are to remain closed until further notice. The operation of hotels, guesthouses, and hospitality services for tourism purposes is completely prohibited.
Similarly, cinema halls, shopping malls, gyms, bars and auditoriums, and similar places are not allowed to open including religious places and religious congregation.
The above order shall come into immediate effect for the entire area of Distt. Kangra until 30 June 2020.
