CTSA confers the Year 2007 Incentive Awards

Dharamshala: The Central
Tibetan Schools Administration (CTSA) conferred the Incentive Awards
for the year 2007 for meritorious services to teaching and non-teaching
staff categories, at the 20th meeting of institutional heads and
rectors held at its headquarters in Delhi, on 28 May.
The awardees in the teaching staff were Wangchuk, post graduate
teacher at Central School for Tibetans (CST) Darjeeling, V.
Madhusoodanan, headmaster of Primary School at CST Mundgod, P.N.
Pandey, wood craft instructor at CST Mussoorie and Lobsang Dolma, PRT
at CST/CVP Bylakuppe.
Among the non-teaching staff, R.K. Pathak, assistant at CST
Mussoorie and J.M. Naik, sweeper cum watchman at CST Mundgod received
the awards.
CTSA Chairman Mr S.C. Khuntia, who is also the joint secretary
of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, presented the awards.
The award consists of a plaque, a certificate and a token amount of Rs 5000 along with a shawl.
Other officials present at the ceremony were CTSA Director
Vineet Joshi, Kalon Tempa Tsering, representive of His Holiness the
Dalai Lama in New Delhi, education officers, Tashi N. Rikha, additional
secretary of the Department of Education, and Education Officer Tsering
Phuntsok.
Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, secretary of the Department of
Education, Central Tibetan Administration delivered a keynote address
on ‘Spirit of Education and Its Methodology: A Tibetan Perspective’, on
the second day of the meeting cum workshop on National Curriculum
Framework 2005, jointly conducted by National Council of Educational
Research and Training (NCERT) from 28 to 30 May.
