RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE CENTRAL TIBETAN ADMINISTRATION ON THE TRAGIC PASSING AWAY OF THE SPEAKER OF THE LOK SABHA
04 March, 2002 Deeply saddened by the tragic passing away of Shri. G.M.C Balayogi, the respected Speaker of the Lok Sabha,
expressing our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Shri. G.M.C Balayogi and the people and Government of India, and sharing their moment of loss and bereavement,
the Central Tibetan Administration hereby resolves to organise a mourning ceremony headed by the Kalons of the Kashag, the heads of the autonomous bodies of the Administration, the secretaries and staff of the entire Tibetan administration at 3:30 pm on 4 March 2002 on the compound of the Central Tibetan Secretariat
and after the mourning the offices of the Tibetan Administration will remain closed and the Indian and the Tibetan flag flown at half mast to pay our respects to an able and respected Indian public figure
and recalling Shri Balayogi’s example of dedication, commitment and selfless service during his public life, we resolve to emulate these qualities in our own service to the Tibetan people.
