DHARAMSHALA: President Dr Lobsang Sangay of the Central Tibetan Administration will deliver the M L Sondhi Memorial Lecture at New Delhi on 14 December. Dr Sangay will speak on the theme ‘Tibet holds the key to Beijing’.
The memorial lecture will be held at Lecture Room II (Annexe), India International Centre, New Delhi from 02:00 pm and is organised by The Professor ML Sondhi Memorial Trust.
The chief guest at the memorial lecture is Shri Ram Madhav, Director, India Foundation & National General Secretary of BJP. Shri Lalit Man Singh, former Indian foreign secretary will deliver the exordial remarks of the memorial lecture.
The ML Sondhi Memroial Lecture has been delivered by many notable and influential personalities in the past including His Holiness the Dalai Lama who delivered the memorial lecture in 2006, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam in 2005, and Dr Ariel Levite, among others.
Prof Manohar Lal Sondhi, more popularly known as M L Sondhi, was an Indian academic, diplomat, parliamentarian and a lifelong supporter of the Tibet issue. He is remembered for his astute understanding of Indian political history in the post-Nehurvian India and his staunch commitment to human rights and justice.
