Dharamshala: President Dr Lobsang Sangay left this morning to Kolkata to attend the event commemorating the 60th year of All India Convention on Tibet tomorrow.
The event organized by the Core Group for Tibetan Cause-India marks the 60th year since the All India Convention on Tibet, the first of its kind, held on 30 – 31 May 1959 under the chairmanship of Shri Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Narayan in Calcutta (now Kolkata).
The Governor of West Bengal Shri. Jagdeep Shankar, among other dignitaries, will also attend the event.
The President is scheduled to return on 27 December.
