DHARAMSHALA: President Dr Lobsang Sangay of the Central Tibetan Administration left Dharamshala today for a five-day official visit to Delhi and Dehradun from 15 – 19 October 2017.
At Delhi, President Dr Sangay will speak at a discussion tilted ‘Issue of Tibet’ organised by Tibet Policy institute on 16 October. Other speakers at the discussion include member of Lok Sabha Smt Meenakshi Lekhi, ambassador Kanwal Sibal, Prof Ming Xia from City University of New York (CUNY) and Shri Jayadeva Ranade, former additional secretary at the cabinet secretariat, government of India. The discussion will be chaired by Prof Madhu Bhalla.
The discussion will be held at multipurpose hall, Kamladevi complex, India International Centre. President Dr Sangay will also launch a report on ‘Cultural Genocide in Tibet’ compiled by Tibet Policy Institute.
On 17 October, he will leave for Dehradun. He will visit the Drikung Kargyu Institute, Tibetan Homes Foundation and Central School for Tibetans based in Mussoorie.
President will be back in Dharamshala on 19 October.
