
DHARAMSHALA: The Tibetan leadership in Dharamsala yesterday paid a courtesy call on Mr Rajnath Singh, the president of Bharatiya Janata Party, a political party of India.
Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, the deputy speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, and officiating Sikyong Kalon Pema Chhinjor met Mr Singh at a reception in Palampur. The Tibetan leaders briefed him about the critical situation inside Tibet in view of the self-immolation by over 120 Tibetans to protest against the continued repression and occupation of Tibet. They expressed gratitude to the BJP for its continued support for the issue of Tibet.
