
Hubballi 22 July: Shri R.K.Khrimey, National Convenor of the Core Group addressed 40 odd electronic and print media journalists who attended the press conference at about two days South Zone Tibet Support Groups Conference held at Bougenvilla, Hubballi on 23 and 24 July 2016.
Shri Amruth Joshi, National Co-Convener of Southern Region, Shri Surendra Kumar, National Co-Convener of Eastern region and Shri J.P.Urs, Regional Convener of South West region also addressed the Press.
Khrimey ji said that the two main issues to be discuss during the conference is to strengthen Tibet movement in South India and community harmony between the Tibetans and local Indians in the Tibetan settlement area.
South Indian State of Karnataka has the largest concentration of exile Tibetans in India with five big Tibetan settlements, major Tibetan Buddhist monastic institutions and universities and Tibetan schools.
The Conference also showcase Photo exhibition Biography of His Holiness the Dalai Lama & Indo-Tibet Relations by the Tibet Museum, Department of Information & International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.
Shri Amrut ji stated that around 60 participant from five southern states of Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Tamil Nadu will be participating in this conference. Further, he said that the conference is jointly organized by BTSM Karnataka & Core group for Tibetan Cause in coordination with Settlement office in Mundgod and ITCO.
Core Group for Tibetan Cause-India held the Press conference at 11:30am – 12:30pm on 22 July at Press Club of Hubballi, 50 kms from Mundgod Tibetan Settlement in Northern Karnataka.
